Rave reviews for Saint John ahead of this week’s East Coast Music Association festival.
ECMA Executive Director Andy McLean says the city’s condensed layout allows festival-goers to easily walk between venues and take in more of the events.
And McLean says aside from a few remaining tickets for the awards show and a couple of other showcases, the event is sold out.

He says the city is ideally laid out for the festival.
“I think twelve venues altogether, they’re all within walking distance in the uptown area. So it’s very compact and it really lends itself to the idea of getting a pass and really going out on the street and club-hopping as much as you can.”
He does offer attendees some advice.
“They shouldn’t miss a thing. They should not plan on getting much sleep. The best thing is to, come out, and if you’ve got your wristband or your pass then that’s great. Go out and enjoy things. I mean, there’s more talent, more musical talent per capita here than anywhere that I’ve seen.”
McLean says it’s been 15 years since Saint John hosted the regional awards and the support has been outstanding.
The ECMA festival begins Wednesday and runs through Sunday.
For those who can’t get to Saint John, a number of the events will be live-streamed.
