The mayor says Yarmouth’s transit bus should be back on the road soon.
It was taken out of service over a week ago after the transmission failed.
The town replaced it with a van leased from Tri-Star.
Mayor Pam Mood says she’s not concerned that the bus is just over a year old.
“Parts fail. It’s under warranty so there’s no cost there. However they have replaced it with a van that is not wheel-chair accessible. We haven’t heard any complaints, I think people understand.”
Mayor Mood says she expects the bus to be back in service by the end of this week or the first of next week at the latest.
