A section of Main Street will be turned into ball hockey rinks for the inaugural event being held September 29-30.
Twelve rinks will be set up on Main Street between Parade and Cumberland streets.
The championship games on the tournament’s second day, Sunday, September 30, will be played on the outdoor rink at the Mariners Centre.
Organizer Steve Berry tells us they’ll be at Mariners Centre tonight (Sept. 18) and tomorrow night (Sept 19) from 6:30 to 8:30.
It’s only $200 to register an adult team.
He says adult, midget and bantam divisions could use a few more teams.
Membership for every team under 18 years old is paid for by the JStrong Fund.
Registration can also be done on the Yarmouth County Minor Hockey website.
You can have a minimum of seven players and a maximum of 10 on teams.
The four-on-four tournament is being organized by the JStrong Fund and the Yarmouth County Minor Hockey Association and all proceeds from the event will go the YCMHA.
