The library in Yarmouth is getting a new look.
A new metal roof is being installed at the Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Library.
Erin Comeau, Director for the Western Counties Regional Library, says the work isn’t affecting daily operations.
“We had a few noisy days but it doesn’t affect operations, we just sort of bear it, knowing full well that the roof needs to be replaced. Overall they’ve been quite quiet.”
Comeau says the organization which owns the building, the Yarmouth Public Library and Museum, are great stewards in maintaining the building.
“It does have some architectural value. It is well-loved by the public.”
