The Yarmouth Curling Association wants to say ‘thank you.’
They are holding a club appreciation night on Friday at the Yarmouth Curling Club.
Registration is from 6-6:30 and games will take place from 7-9.
Curling Director Nick Hilton says it’s all about showing appreciation to the community.
“As everyone knows, we just went through a major refit of our plant. This event is in appreciation of what everyone in the community has done for us.”
A provincial tournament was held last weekend at the club, and Hilton says it went extremely well.
The club didn’t open until last month due to an equipment breakdown.
He says the final bill for repairs to the ice plant will be close to $100,000, but they have received lots of support from local municipalities, club members and the community.
