The future leader of Nova Scotia’s PC party will be in Bridgewater tonight.
The five people hoping to lead the PC’s will square off in the fifth of six debates being held around the province.
Argyle-Barrington MLA and Leadership Selection Committee Co-Chair Chris D’Entrement says it’s important for the leadership hopefuls to have these discussions across Nova Scotia.
“This is a great opportunity to see them debate the issues that are important to the area, to see how they react under stress and of course, have the opportunity to meet them.”
D’Entrement says there will be opportunity for people to ask questions of the candidates.
“There are five question slots. The first three are economy, health care and education. The other two are for the communities. People can submit them either ahead of time or on the floor.”
This is one of the last opportunities for candidates to present their case to lead the PCs before party faithful cast their vote at their leadership convention being held in Halifax October 26 and 27.
The debate is open to the public and will get underway at the Best Western at 7pm.
