People will soon get an in-depth look at how receptive additional highway twinning is across Nova Scotia.
The department of transportation is expected to release its report this month after receiving input from more than 12 public consultations.
Minister Geoff MacLellan says he expects the report to be ready in roughly a week.
“This isn’t impacted by any other timeline, political or otherwise. We want to get this information fully completed and packaged in a way that’s comprehensible and clear for Nova Scotians.”
Eight sections of the 100-series highways have been tabbed for twinning at a cost of more than $2-billion.
The province used the consultations to determine if tolls could be an option to allow twinning to take place sooner.
