CAO Alain Muise says there is still some work to be done.
He says the building sub-committee has submitted its recommendation to staff.
“There is some work to be done on negotiations and due diligence around appraisals etc. That should be completed by next week and we hope to have a full recommendation ready for council by its next meeting which is next Tuesday.”
Muise says the piece of land selected by the committee is located in Tusket in a more visible location than the current building, but he could not reveal exactly where the land is because of on-going negotiations.
Muise says the cost is still in the range of $1.9 million to $2.3 million.
