The J Strong Mosquito A Gateway play in Tier 1 Provincials this past weekend (Sept 7-9) in Hants North, NS.
Sept 7: Yarmouth fell short to Clarks Harbour Foggies 8-4. Pitchers were Caiden Swindell, Damien Cottreau (Loss)and Max Gates. Dylan Goudey went 2 for 3 at bats and Liam Surette went 2 for 3 at bats with a home run. Player of the game Liam Surette.
Sept 8 AM: Yarmouth played East Hants Nationals winning 6-4. Pitchers were Dylan Goudey and Max Gates (win). Hitting for Yarmouth was Liam Moses who went 2 for 2 with a double and Brady Newell went 1 for 2 with a double. Player of the game Liam Moses.
Sept 8 PM Yarmouth beat Porters Lake in a nail biting 9-8 final. Yarmouth came back in the bottom of the six inning to win! Caiden Swindell hit in the winning run! Pitchers were Drew Muise, Nolan Hill, Caiden Swindell, and Liam Surette (win). Hitting for Yarmouth Bryce Fitzgerald went 2 for 3 with a double and Liam Surette went 2 for 3 as well. Player of the game Caiden Swindell.
Sept 9 AM (Semi finals) Yarmouth played against Hants North Jays shutting them down 3-0. Pitching for Yarmouth was Drew Muise (win), Dylan Goudey and Liam Surette. Hitting for Yarmouth Dylan Goudey 1 for 2, Bryce Fitzgerald 1 for 2, Liam Surette 2 for 2 and Charlie Gosling 1 for 2.Player of the game Drew Muise.
Sept 9 PM Championship game vs Hantsport Shamrocks.
Yarmouth won 11-4. Pitching for Yarmouth Liam Surette (win)and Dylan Goudey. Hitting for Yarmouth Liam Surette 3 for 3 with a double, Dylan Goudey 2 for 3, Bryce Fitzgerald 2 for 3 with a home run and Drew Muise 1 for 2. Player of the Game Liam Surette.
