The Yarmouth Junior A Mariners are facing elimination from the MHL playoffs.
For the third time in the series, the Truro Bearcats scored the go-ahead goal in the last half of the third and held on for the victory, this time 2-1 at Mariners Centre.
Kyle Tibbo scored the go ahead goal with just under six minutes left to give the Bearcats a 3-1 series lead heading back to Truro for Game 5 Saturday night.
The Mariners got on the board first, with Jalen Gillard scoring his first of the playoffs in the second period.
Yarmouth were undisciplined in the second period, spending much of the last six minutes on the penalty kill.
Goalie Leif Hertz was sharp, and the Mariners got to the third with the lead.
The game tying goal came from G Blackmore 1:40 into the third at even strength.
Truro outshot Yarmouth 16-3 in the third period.

Head Coach and General Manager Laurie Barron says you can’t give the Bearcats opportunities.
“They don’t make many mistakes. If you turn pucks over and give them odd man rushes, they’ll make you pay. We were good for two periods, I think we ran out of gas in the third period, and they found a way.”
Yarmouth will have to win Saturday to force a sixth game at home on Sunday night.
Barron says his team isn’t done.
“We’ll jump on the bus, we’ve been down two games before. We’ll go back and steal this series. We’ll start one game at a time, starting in Truro. We’ll see what we’re made of. This is a good group of kids here, and if they’ve got the gumption I think they do, then we’ll be back here on Sunday.”
In other action tonight, the Pictou County Weeks Crushers tied their series with the Amherst Ramblers at 2 with a 5-3 win in Amherst.
