(Chamber president Neil Rogers stops by our Y95 CJLS studios for an interview)
The Yarmouth and Area Chamber of Commerce will soon roll out its strategic plan.
The chamber has grown its membership substantially over the past few years and its approval rating with member businesses is strong.
President Neil Rogers says the strategic plan is developed with input from the organization’s members.
” We’ve a strategic plan in place in place, we’ve just renewed that and we’re going to focus on implementing the recommendations. We’re actually meeting as a board this evening to review the draft copy and to start implementing the recommendations going forward.”
He says the Yarmouth and Area Chamber of Commerce had a 15 per cent growth last year in its membership.
Rogers credits executive director Matthew Trask as being the driving force behind that.
Rogers was named president following a recent annual general meeting.
Chris Atwood held the position for the past two years.
