The MLA for Argyle-Barrington says the McNeil Liberals seem to be ignoring the well-being of residents in the Barrington area.
Chris d’Entremont says there are two blood issues he’ll will raise in this sitting of the House.
“Of course the haemodialysis unit will continue to be a question until the minister coughs it up or a new government brings it in. There seeks to be no plan when it comes to dialysis units in across the province. They’re still in a very haphazard way. We’re still very concerned that people who need that service still have to travel too far. There are 14 people in Shelburne County right now having to travel to receive that service in Yarmouth.” But there’s also the issue of the long-term of blood collection in Barrington.”
Services have been temporarily relocated to d’Entremont’s constituency office while the health authority tries to find the source of an odour that has forced the closure of the clinic.
