The Yarmouth Junior A Mariners won their first exhibition game last night in Bridgewater.
They defeated the South Shore Lumberjacks 4-3.
First round draft pick Sam Gillis led the way with two goals for Yarmouth, including a penalty shot goal.
Daniel Surette and Adrian Ward also scored.
Tyler Caseley and Alec Macvicar split time in net.
The Mariners dressed an all-rookie lineup for the game.
They’ll have more veteran players dressed tomorrow night as they take on the Valley Wildcats in Hants County.
