A big donation to school breakfast programs in the Tri-Counties.
Coastal Financial Credit Union has given a total of $32,000 to the initative.
$22,000 will go to the Tri-County Regional School Board breakfast program and the rest to the CSAP’s program.
Rick Doucette, CEO of Coastal Financial Credit Union says it started off as a small request from Maple Grove Education Centre.
“After giving it some consideration we thought perhaps there are other schools in the area that could use funding as well. We made contact with the school boards and found out there was a fairly substantial need.”
Doucette says the company always wants to help the community, and they are excited to support the initiative.
He says schools are still looking for volunteers to help facilitate the programs.
