The emergency department at Digby General Hospital, will close today (Tuesday, August 21) at 6:00 p.m. and will reopen tomorrow (Wednesday, August 22) at 8:00 a.m.
The Nova Scotia Health Authority says it’s due to a lack of physician availability.
They say anyone with urgent medical needs should call 911.
For non-urgent care, you’re asked to call your family doctor or primary care provider.
For general health advice and information you can phone 811, a 24/7 service staffed by experienced registered nurses.
