Y95-CJLS is teaming up with the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation for a new fundraiser.
The first ever ‘We Care Radiothon’ begins tomorrow morning at 6, as we broadcast live from Yarmouth Regional Hospital.
Together, we want to raise $35,000 for the purchase of a portable ultrasound for the regional intensive care unit.
The foundation’s Radiothon Chairperson Jeff Little says this complements other fundraisers like the Jody Shelley Golf Fore Health and the Spring Gala.
“We looked at what some of the other hospital foundations around the province were doing, and some were doing radiothons. We really liked that idea, so we began working with Y95 and we’ve put this together over the last several months. We think this is going to be an incredible event.”
We’ll be broadcasting live until around 2pm.
