The Juno Awards were handed out this weekend this weekend ( Sunday March 29th) , it brings back memories of when I had the pleasure of being a Judge in the Dance Recording Category ( 2006 & 2009 ) . Met some great people, performers and Industry leaders. 
The JUNO Awards – Canada’s Biggest Night in Music , it was held this year at TD Coliseum on Sunday, March 29th. Hosted by Mae Martin, there were electrifying live performances from some of the country’s biggest stars, including Alessia Cara, Allison Russell, Arkells, The Beaches, Cameron Whitcomb, Daniel Caesar, Jully Black, MICO, Sarah McLachlan, Shawn Desman, Sofia Camara, Tanya Tagaq, and William Prince!
There were special appearances by Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Joni Mitchell and Canadian Music Hall of Fame Inductee Nelly Furtado.
Joni Mitchell is the 2026 recipient of the JUNO Lifetime Achievement Award , recognized for her profound, six-decade impact on folk, jazz, and rock music. Presented by the National Arts Centre, this prestigious award honors Canadian artists with an enduring legacy. This 2026 award, covered by CBC, was presented during Canada’s biggest night in music.
