If you answered with LESS, you are not alone , it seems research agrees.
According to research on the average attention span, you can look at a screen for exactly 47 seconds before becoming distracted by something else. Digital technology, endless scrolling algorithms, and blurred work-life boundaries have cut the average screen focus from 2½ minutes to under a minute over 20 years, according to University of California research. That means most of us are switching tasks, tabs, or apps 3 times faster than we did in the early 2000s.
As of late 2024 and early 2025 data, the average Canadian spends approximately 6 hours and 18 minutes to 6 hours and 45 minutes daily using the internet across all devices . To read more about this CLICK HERE.

To combat this, experts suggest taking 3 deep breaths, to slow your heart rate and signal your brain to pause. Then put your phone on silent and close any tabs or apps not needed for the task at hand. Finally, pick exactly one thing to focus on for the next 5-10 minutes.
