A suspect is in custody after an emergency alert in Digby County.
It was issued around 10 p.m. for an armed and dangerous man in the Brighton area of Highway 101.
Residents were asked to shelter in place and lock their doors and windows, and to not pick up hitchhikers.
The alert went out to Digby, Yarmouth and Annapolis counties.
