Winter weather is delaying some school openings and cancelling others across the province today.
École Belle-Baie in Tor Bay and École acadienne de Truro are opening two hours late this morning.
In eastern Nova Scotia, the following schools will have an early dismissal at 1 p.m.:
- Whycocomagh Education Centre
- Dalbrae Academy
- Inverness Education Centre/Academy
- Cape Breton Highlands Education Centre/Academy
- Pleasant Bay School
- Bayview Education Centre
Due to road conditions and ongoing cleanup, all Tri-Country Regional Education Centre schools in Digby County will be closed today.
Yarmouth County and Shelburne County schools will be open but drivers will use discretion on backroads due to icy conditions.
Backroad closure plans will be in place today for both Lunenburg and Queens counties.
