A vessel is safely secured in Yarmouth County after what was likely a very tense situation, Friday.
Major Trevor Ackland with the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre tells us in an email, the boat named Never Home 3 thought they might be taking on water when in Kelly’s Cove.
After making a mayday call, the crew put their survival suits on and prepared a life raft.
The pump on board kept the vessel afloat.
The Never Home 3 fixed the issue and on their own power headed to shore alongside the Joseph Lorenzo, that escorted them.
