Bon Jovi – will play a whopping 9 shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden as part of their 2026 “Forever Tour,” and Jon Bon Jovi says he’s taking inspiration from Metallica’s “M72 World Tour” for the setlists. Aware that many fans will attend more than one MSG show, he plans to make like Metallica did when they guaranteed 2 unique “no repeat” sets over 2 nights.
Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit and Guns N’ Roses — have been announced as headliners of next year’s Download festival. They are among 90 rock and metal acts set to play the event, set for June 10-14 at UK’s Donington Park, Leicestershire. Other acts on the bill include Mastodon, Pendulum, Cypress Hill, Babymetal and Black Veil Brides.
Guns N’ Roses – are being sued by former manager Alan Niven to stop them from attempting to block the release of his new memoir “Sound N’ Fury: Rock N’ Roll Stories”. The book was set for a July 2025 release, was delayed until September and is now scheduled to come out March 31 on Amazon. Niven claims that GN’R, particularly Axl Rose have made threats in order to thwart the release of the book.
Bob Dylan — The Berklee College of Music has presented him with an honorary doctorate, recognizing his significant influence on modern music and lifelong commitment to creative exploration. He joins other famous Berklee honorary doctorate recipients, including Duke Ellington, Aretha Franklin, Quincy Jones, Joni Mitchell, B.B. King, Ringo Starr, and Loretta Lynn.
Tom Petty – His longtime Malibu, California home has finally sold for $11.2 million. In July the 2.6-acre estate was listed for $15.49 million. In 2024, the property’s asking price was $19 million. Petty purchased the spread, set above Escondido Beach, $3.75 million in 1998, and it served as his main residence through his 2017 death.
Bruce Springsteen – The biopic “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere” has now grossed $34.6 million worldwide, despite mixed reviews. That puts it at #24 on Billboard‘s list of highest-grossing music biopics. #1 is “Bohemian Rhapsody” – with $911 million!
Duran Duran – John Taylor says he’s not too hot on the idea of a band biopic. To him, the problem is that with films like “Bohemian Rhapsody” or “Rocketman”, “they were focused on one guy, one creative genius, and everything kind of worked around that.” He said with Duran, “you’ve got 5 guys. So, it becomes almost more like an Ocean’s 11”, and is therefore more complicated.
