Nova Scotia Music Week will bring a big boost to Yarmouth.
Hotel rooms are booked, as the area welcomes the festival this Thursday to Sunday.
Neil MacKenzie with the Yarmouth and Acadian Shores Tourism Association says it’s a massive event for the area.
“It brings in a ton of people at a time when we need the help. It helps boost our economy, and gives us an extra push in the fall, which is always great,” said MacKenzie.
He says YASTA put the bid in for the event and aligned partners.
MacKenzie says they have a great volunteer team helping out this weekend.
“It’s never hard to find good volunteers in Yarmouth, we’re known for our hospitality. We have everything lined up for a great event.”
He says the economic impact was in the millions the last time Yarmouth hosted it in 2023.
