Souls Harbour Rescue Mission is coming to Yarmouth.
The charity organization based in Halifax provides meals and resources for those who need it.
A new drop-in centre will open at the Wesleyan Church later this month.
Paul Surette with Souls Harbour says it will be great for the community.
“It can help people who are having a problem finding food security. We’ve developed a partnership with the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church, who have given us the space.
He says the plan to serve meals Monday to Friday to anyone who needs one, no questions asked.
Surette says it’s not just about a full stomach.
“The meal is just the beginning. At other drop-in centres, we’ve seen a connection with community with making new friends.”
Another drop-in facility is set to open in Dartmouth later this month.
