A group of former big leaguers are playing hockey in our region.
This Sunday, the NHL Legends Tour stops at the Digby Arena.
Ron Sutter, who played over 1,000 games is part of the festivities.
He says it’s great to hold events like this in smaller towns.
“They make you feel extremely welcome, and it’s fun to interact and be a part of it. It reminds me a lot of my own upbringing in Alberta,” said Sutter, who is one of six brothers in his family to play in the NHL.
His brother Rich, and other legends like Rick Vaive, Chris Nilan and Derian Hatcher will be taking part.
The game against local legends starts at 4 p.m.
“I love going into venues like this in Digby, and to see the kids excited to see us, it’s going to be a lot of fun,” added Sutter.
