Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow, John Legend and Alanis Morissette – will all be featured on “Words + Music”, a new TV series based on the Audible audio series of the same name. The show will debut on MGM+ on Nov. 30. Each episode will feature artists sharing the stories behind their most iconic songs, followed by performances of those songs, either solo or with a band.
Paul McCartney – A new documentary about his post-Beatles years has been acquired by Amazon MGM Studios. Directed by Academy Award winner Morgan Neville, “Man on the Run” premiered at the Telluride Film Festival over the weekend, and will be released in select theaters. It hits Prime Video on Feb. 25, 2026.
Bryan Adams – says that his new album “Roll With the Punches” is “kind of a cross between… (1991’s) “Waking Up the Neighbours” and (1987’s) “Into the Fire”. The new record is out now, and he has just released a video for the single ‘Will We Ever be Friends Again’. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/3zuw7smu
Spoon — has released not one but 2 new singles: ‘Chateau Blues’ and ‘Guess I’m Fallin in Love’. According to guitarist/singer Britt Daniel, the band has been at work on a new album, but these 2 songs “really should come out now”. It’s the group’s first new music since 2022. Green Day — Their film “New Year’s Rev” will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this month. The coming-of-age comedy is about a garage band who think they’ve scored the gig of their lives…opening for Green Day – except it’s all a prank. Jon Bon Jovi and John Mayer – are going on tour – with Matthew McConaughey. The actor is launching a book tour in September to promote “Poems & Prayers”. Jon Bon Jovi will appear as special guest during a stop at King’s Theatre in Brooklyn on Sept. 16, and Mayer will appear at the Saban Theater in LA on Sept. 20.
Bon Jovi — are revisiting the songs from their 2024 “Forever” album, with an impressive slate of guest singers, including Bruce Springsteen, Jelly Roll, Jason Isbell, Joe Elliott, Avril Lavigne, and Marcus King. The new release “Forever (Legendary Edition)” arrives Oct. 24. They have dropped the song ‘Hollow Man’, featuring Bruce Springsteen, and the new song ‘Red, White & Jersey’.
Heart — During their Akron OH show on Tuesday Aug 26, Nancy Wilson dedicated the song ‘These Dreams’ to the newly-engaged Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Wilson posted video, showing her tell the audience: “Here’s a romantic dedication to Travis and Taylor.” LINK: https://tinyurl.com/4m23rv
The Who — Pete Townshend knows they have been saying goodbye for a long time. When a reporter asked why people should believe their current farewell tour is actually “final” one, he joked: “Are you suggesting we’re swindling the public? The fact is, we are willing to swindle them. That’s what we’ve done our entire life. Why stop?” Townshend then admitted their 1982 farewell tour was “a mistake.”
The Who — Pete Townshend has revealed he is recovering from a recent addiction to painkillers. He’s battled various addictions throughout his career, and his most recent came after knee surgery this year, when, quote: “I got re-addicted to painkillers. This is the way rock stars die, OxyContin.” He cleaned up at a recovery clinic in Spain.
The Police — Sting is being sued by his former bandmates over lost royalties. Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland allege “substantial” damages. This follows years of legal disputes between the group, and repeated attempts to reach an out-of-court settlement.

Oasis – is serving up more than just music on their reunion tour – they’ve made Wagon Wheels available backstage. Liam and Noel Gallagher have invited numerous friends and family members to the Oasis Live ’25 tour, and in the VIP backstage area, among the free booze and food, guests can snack on the chocolate-marshmallow biscuits. It was apparently Noel’s idea.
Judas Priest – Rob Halford, known for his siren-like scream, wants to do some crooning. He told a reporter: “I was singing Tony Bennett in the shower the other day and I listened to my voice and I’m going, ‘Do I dare to consider something like this?’ And then I go, ‘I’m an old man; I can do what I (bleeping) want!’ And I love Tony Bennett.”
Metallica — The new reveal trailer for “Call of Duty: Black Ops 7” contains a bizarre industrial remix of the song ‘Master of Puppets’. The announcement for the next of Activision’s long-running first-person shooter series dropped on Tuesday Aug 19, using the futuristic reimagining of the title track from the group’s 1986 album.
