A new event for motocyclists.
The ‘Thunder on the Coast’ rally is taking place in downtown Yarmouth this weekend.
Main Street from Parade to Cliff will be closed to traffic during the day Saturday and Sunday.
Organizer David Outhouse says it’s something that’s been needed in the community,
“I’ve been in talk with a few people from Cape Breton, the South Shore and Halifax. A lot of them are planning to come down for the weekend too, we’re hoping it’s a successful event,” said Outhouse.
Plenty of vendors will be set up along the street.
You don’t need to register, but you will need a wristband for the Poison Cherry show on the waterfront Saturday night.
“We’re hoping to start this year off as a nice intro to the rally, and then next year ramp it up even more and turn it into something huge.”
