Korean war soldiers will be honoured in Wedgeport.
The Legion is hosting a ceremony on Saturday at 11 a.m. to mark the 72nd anniversary of the end of the war.
Over 500 Canadians died in action.
Andre Boudreau with the legion says it’s often called the forgotten war.
“These guys were forgotten for many years. That was one of the reasons we started doing this, because we had quite a few Korean war veterans. There are now six still with us,” said Boudreau.
It’s the seventh annual commemoration in Wedgeport, they’ll also lay a wreath at 2 p.m. at the monument on Parade Street in Yarmouth.
