It’s almost election day for the Wasoqopa’q First Nation.
Voters go to the polls Saturday, June 14.
It happens once every five years for the role of chief and eight councillors.
Deborah Robinson is hoping for another term as chief, she’s held the position since 1987, she’s up against Yolanda Pennell.
Robinson won by 48 votes in the last election.
Fourteen people are running for eight council positions, all incumbents are running again.
Voting is taking place between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Rose Purdy Centre in Yarmouth, the Shelburne Fire Hall, the Wildcat Community Hall and the Liverpool Best Western hotel.
