The 40e Jeux regionaux de la Nouvelle-Ecosse went well in Argyle and Yarmouth.
About 800 athletes took part in sports like soccer, volleyball and track and field Friday to Sunday.
Organizing committee president Chris Frotten says the opening and closing ceremonies at Mariners Centre were fantastic.
“It was the first time in a while that it was done in an arena with a stage and lights, the kids definitely appreciated that,” said Frotten.

Par-en-Bas athletes were able to capture the overall banner, based on results from the different events.
It was the first time in 19 years our region hosted the event, it will be in Sydney next year.
Frotten thanks all the volunteers.
“As the weekend went on, more orange shirts would come out and at the end they were coming from the baseboards. It was great to see the support and so many from the community coming together and helping each other out, enjoying the experience.”
