The power will be out in the very early morning hours on Friday.
Nova Scotia Power says the planned outage will affect 3,400 customers in Barrington Passage, Clark’s Harbour, Shag Harbour, North East Point, Newellton and surrounding communities.
The outage will be from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m.
“During this outage, crews will be performing reliability upgrade improvements at the Barrington substation in Shelburne County. This work is being done to improve the reliability of power service for customers in the area,” says the utility.
