More work at the Nova West Regional Business Park.
The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth is going ahead with phase two, which includes $1.8 million to complete the road and services construction of seven new commercial lots.
Warden John Cunningham says it’s an important piece to the community’s future.
“Yarmouth County is lacking in places for businesses to take down roots. The Nova West park gives all of southwestern Nova Scotia a place for businesses to grow and thrive,” said Cunningham.
Forty acres of land has already been developed, 93 more acres are available for future expansion.
Council awarded the contract to Aberdeen Paving, construction is expected to start this month.
Cunningham says it’s a great investment.
“We provide the sanitary and water hook-up, and finishing the lots. It will encourage new businesses to come to our area and grow.”
