It’s Family Violence Prevention Week in Nova Scotia.
Juniper House in Yarmouth will be out in the community providing information.
Executive director Lisa Newell-Bain says they have a 24/7 crisis line.
“You don’t have to give your name or any information, you can just talk and ask questions. We can also give you some safety planning tips to best navigate your situation,” said Newell-Bain.
Juniper House has been in the community for 40 years.
Newell-Bain says nobody should have to go through family violence alone.
“We provide shelter, so if somebody does need to leave and come stay at the shelter they can, we also have the crisis line and outreach services.”
The organization will host a series of public skates in the community this week.
