A groundbreaking ceremony for the Mariners Centre Expansion project gets underway at 10 a.m.
Premier Tim Houston, West Nova MP Chris d’Entremont and other dignitaries are expected to be in attendance.
Construction is underway for the separate building, which will feature a pool, walking track and fitness centre.
It’s expected to be open late in 2026.
The expansion committee calls the ceremony a pivotal moment, and a once in a generation event.
