Yarmouth’s Mariners Centre is getting ready to welcome the fishing industry.
Thousands are expected to attend the Eastern Canadian Fisheries Expo on January 17 and 18.
Shawn Murphy with Master Promotions says there are 125 companies on the floor, and seminars.
“With different topics from safety, to financing, to government regulations. Anything that has to do with fisheries, fish processing, aquaculture and the industry,” says Murphy.
There will also be inductions into the Atlantic Canada Marine Industries Hall of Fame.
Murphy says exhibitor space on the floor is sold-out, registration for visitors is available online.
“We have exhibitors from as far away as Iceland and China. We’re excited to show the latest the industry has to offer.”
The expo is held every two years, usually between four and six thousand people attend.
