Mathis Rousseau is on the move.
The 20-year-old star goaltender was traded from the Halifax Mooseheads to the Moncton Wildcats, along with 19-year-old forward Logan Crosby ahead of Monday’s QMJHL trade deadline.
Halifax gets goaltender Jacob Steinman, two 2nd round picks and a 4th round pick back in the deal.
Rousseau ranks second all-time in Mooseheads wins, and represented Team Canada at the 2024 World Juniors.
The re-building Mooseheads have made several deals ahead of the deadline, while the Wildcats continue to add top players to go for a run at the Memorial Cup.
