Two people from Yarmouth County were arrested for impaired driving on New Year’s Eve.
Southwest Traffic Services in Yarmouth had a checkpoint at the intersection of Hwy 3 and Raynardton Road.
A vehicle went through the checkpoint and narrowly missed hitting an RCMP officer.
The vehicle was located soon after at the end of a dead-end road.
A 27-year-old man from Carleton was arrested for impaired and dangerous driving and flight from police, the vehicle was towed.
Later, a 63-year-old Glenwood man was arrested in Argyle for driving with blood alcohol over twice the legal limit.
