Another successful ‘Adopt-a-Book’ campaign in the Tri-Counties.
The Western Counties Regional Library’s bi-annual fundraiser brought in over $21,000 and 690 new books.
The library’s Ian White thanks the community for stepping up.
“We didn’t reach our book target, but we surpassed our financial donations. I want to thank everyone that donated in these financially trying times,” said White.
He says it’s also a lesson that the cost of books are rising.
White adds the campaign gives the library a whole new selection and creates more interest.
