Five inpatient mental health beds are now in Yarmouth.
The Recovery Support Centre at the regional hospital has been reallocated to include the beds.
Normally the centre provides walk-in support, counselling and group sessions.
Nova Scotia Health says they’re trying to minimize the impact of losing the QEII space in Halifax due to a flood.
The reallocation is temporary, but NS Health does not have an update on when things will return to normal in Yarmouth.
Those seeking mental health care asked to reach out to spaces in Lunenburg and Middleton.
Virtual care appointments will still be offered.
