A man charged in the largest wildfire in our province’s history will be back in court later this month.
Twenty-two year old Dalton Clark Stewart of Villagedale, Shelburne County was initially scheduled to appear in Shelburne Provincial Court today.
Last month his case was pushed to March 20 for election and plea.
He will also be in court on April 10.
The Barrington Lake wildfire burned 23,000 hectares and destroyed dozens of homes and buildings last May and June.
Stewart is charged under the Forests Act with lighting a fire on privately owned land without permission, leaving a fire unattended and failing to take reasonable efforts to prevent the spread.
