A chance to be active in your community on Heritage Day.
The Yarmouth County Community Health Board and Yarmouth Recreation will host a wellness walk Monday at 10 a.m.
Organizer Tony Dorrian says it will start in Hebron.
“We’ll start in the Maple Grove parking lot, and we’ll take advantage of the new walking paths along Highway 1. Folks can walk however far they’d like to, there’s absolutely no pressure,” said Dorrian.
There will be a reception at the Rec Complex after the walk.
Dorrian says there will be a ceremony honouring William Hall, the subject of this year’s Heritage Day in Nova Scotia.
He says it’s about promoting active living and connecting with your community.
