Yarmouth DFO office on Main Street (Department of Fisheries and Oceans on Twitter)
Yarmouth’s Department of Fisheries office is for sale.
The building at 215 Main Street went on the market in November.
DFO is reassuring the community that the area office will remain open.
In a series of tweets, the department says their intention is to keep the Southwestern Nova Scotia office in Yarmouth.
They say once sold, they’ll work with the new owner to see if they can stay there, and if not, another location in the area will be sought.
DFO says they value their relationship with the community and look forward to many more years of service.
