Nova Scotia Regional Junior Hockey League:
The Southwest Storm defeated East Hants twice at home on the weekend. Yesterday, they needed a shootout to win 5-4, and Saturday the Storm cruised to a 6-1 victory. The Storm lead the Junior C league with an 11-2 record.
High School Hockey:
At the Glen Murray Invitational High School Hockey Tournament in Bridgewater, the Par-en-Bas Sharks fell to the host Parkview Panthers 3-2 in the semifinal yesterday. The YCMHS Vikings also took part in the event.
U16 AAA Hockey:
The Valley Wildcats U16 AAA team won the Monctonian over the Basin Armada 3-2 in overtime yesterday. Yarmouth’s Ashton Samms had the winner. The team also features local players Drew Muise and Dominic Cottreau.
