
Nova Scotia Regional Junior Hockey League:
The Southwest Storm split a pair of games in Barrington over the weekend. They beat Spryfield 4-1 yesterday, and lost a tight 5-4 contest to them Saturday. The Storm lead the league with an 8-2 record.
Valley High School Hockey League:
The Yarmouth High Vikings shutout Digby 3-0 yesterday at Mariners Centre.
Clare over West Kings 5-2 on Saturday at home after a 5-3 loss on the road to Forest Heights on Friday.
Par-en-Bas were shutout 6-0 by Forest Heights on Saturday and won 6-5 on the road against West Kings Friday.
Pleasant Timber-Mart Gentlemen’s Hockey League:
In Clare on Friday, Rhyno’s Towing defeated the Zeniths 8-3.
Yesterday, it was the Heritage Chickenhawks over the Yarmouth Raiders 6-1 at Mariners Centre, and Barrington Portside beat Rhyno’s Towing 3-1 in Barrington.

Yesterday, the Mariners lost 5-3 to South Shore White at Mariners Centre. Oliver d’Eon, Landon Mckenna-Saulnier and Cole d’Entremont scored, with assists to Carl Landry, Kai Nakpil, Oliver d’Eon and Cole d’Entremont. Simon Doucette was in net.
The Mariners played Acadia in the afternoon at home, winning 4-2. Samuel Green, Oliver d’Eon, Landon Mckenna-Saulnier and Cole d’Entremont had the goals. Assists went to Hunter Melanson, Oliver d’Eon, Fenton Amiro, Brody Goodwin, Cooper Fleck and Oliver Post. Simon Doucette was in net.
Volleyball:
The Par-en-Bas Junior girls volleyball team won bronze at a tournament in Mount Saint Vincent over the weekend. They beat Rocky Lake yesterday in three sets.
