Nova Scotia Regional Junior Hockey League:
The Southwest Storm beat Eastern Shore 4-3 on the road Saturday night.
Brady Nickerson scored twice, Nathan Nasrallah and Caelan Wallace also had goals, and Tyson Peters got the win in goal.
The Storm lead the league with a 7-1 record.
Valley High School Hockey League:
The Par-en-Bas Sharks won their home opener yesterday, 5-4 over Parkview. They also beat Central Kings 5-4 on the road Saturday.
The Yarmouth High Vikings blasted Middleton 14-1 on Saturday at home, after losing 5-4 in a shootout to West Kings on the road Friday.
Barrington lost 6-0 to Avon View at Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena Friday, then the Barons fell 8-1 to Horton on the road Saturday.
Clare lost 14-3 Friday night at home to Central Kings.
Digby dropped a 6-2 decision to Northeast Kings on Friday night to open their season, then beat Clare 7-2 in their home-opener Saturday. The Mariners then defeated Middleton 8-2 yesterday.
Yarmouth County Minor Hockey:
The Yarmouth U15 AA Mariners shut-out Halifax 3-0 at home Saturday. Parker LeBlanc, Ben LeBlanc and Gordon Deal scored, with assists to Matthieu Deviller, Elie Blinn and Jake Sanford. Rogan Swansburg was in net for the win. The Mariners tied Halifax 3-3 yesterday. Parker LeBlanc scored twice, and Colby d’Eon had the other. Assists went to Gordon Deal, Jesse Churchill, Declan Fitzgerald and Max Gates. Rylan LeBlanc was in net.
The U15 B Mariners travelled to Barrington to take on the Shelburne Flames yesterday, losing 4-3. Matheo d’Entremont, Oliver d’Eon and Brady Newell scored for Yarmouth, Fenton Amiro, Samuel d’Eon and Kole Corporong had assists, and Simon Doucette was in net.
