The former CEO of the IWK is out on bail just a day after being sentenced to five months in jail for fraud.
Tracy Kitch has been granted bail until her appeal is heard in court next year.
She will have to follow strict conditions, which include seeking permission to travel and weekly check-ins with Halifax police.
Kitch was convicted in February of charging $47,000 in personal expenses to her corporate credit card.
The appeal is set for March 7.
