A mandatory boundary review is being completed by the Municipality of Barrington.
Each municipality is required to do the review every eight years.
An open house is scheduled for tomorrow night from 6-8 at the Barrington/Port la Tour Fire Hall.
Warden Eddie Nickerson says this is the second of three open houses.
“To get general input on how happy the residents are with the structure, the amount of councillors, the districts, the boundaries,” says Nickerson.
Currently, the municipality has five districts.
Nickerson says status quo would be fine with council, but the public consultation is an important part of the review.
“It seems like a good number, and a good representation for our residents.”
The last change was in 2012, when the Utility and Review Board knocked down the districts from seven to five.
