Hot dogs and cake were served, and there was live entertainment in Frost Park with games.
It’s the first time the event was held since 2019.
Mayor Pam Mood says it’s great to see the festival return to normal.
“We absolutely need this. We need to come together, there are lots of people here. It’s going to be an amazing two weeks, Seafest has put on a classy, well organized event schedule for everyone to enjoy,” says Mayor Mood.
Today is Museum Day, and there will be entertainment tonight at the Coal Shed on Killam’s Wharf.
