Donations are being collected for a family displaced by a house fire in Brazil Lake.
Around 6:15 a.m. on Sunday morning, the Valley and District Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in Brazil Lake.
Mutual aid was provided by the Carleton and District Volunteer Fire Department and the Lakes & District Volunteer Fire Department, the latter of whom arrived with two tankers.
Firefighters found the home fully involved when they arrived. No one when the fire took place.
A mother, father and four children have been displaced by the fire. Donations for the family are being collected at the Carleton Store.
They’re asking for clothes and household items. Clothes sizes wanted are: ladies medium, mens’ 34 jeans, men’s medium, boys 12-14 and boys 6-7. Shoe sizes wanted are 9 for the mother and 12 for the father.
