You’ll be able to get your fill of Southwest Nova lobster, Digby’s Lobster Bash is back in full swing this year.
It kicks off Friday, attendees can look forward to the kid’s King and Queen Contest, Trap Hauling Competition, a photo contest and plenty of lobster to eat.
Other highlights include the Jumbo Lobster Contest, Mud Dash and Parade of Lights, culminating in a fireworks show Sunday night.
Phil Robinson is one of the people involved and shared a message for anyone thinking of going.
“If you’re looking for three days of fun and entertainment and good food, come to Digby because there’s entertainment for almost every age. There’s a lot of focus on the children.”
He added food sales start on Saturday.
The 2020 bash was cancelled, but returned while following COVID-19 restrictions the next year.
Robinson discussed what the bash means to the community.
“The whole thing is to promote the lobster industry in Southwest Nova, we have people that sponsor this as far away as Pubnico,” says Robinson. “Businesses all benefit from people who come to this but our big goal is to get lobster to be eaten more by people.”
